Application:
Massive productions of lightning arrester (MOA), either with porcelain or polymeric housing, are suitable in the systems of power generation, power transmission, power transformation, and power distribution under AC 220kV and below. They are mainly used to keep the amplitude of lighting impulse withstand voltage and switching impulse withstand voltage to the prescribed level.

Lightning arrester is the most advanced over-voltage protector in the world. Its core element, metal oxide varistor (MOV), is made under Japanese technology license.
Under the circumstance of normal operating voltage, the current through the lightning arrester is just on microampere degree. When suffered from over-voltage, the lightning arrester¡¯s excellent non-linear characteristic will make the current through the lightning arrester increase to several thousand amperes. And the lightning arrester will be under the circulating state and release over-voltage energy so as to protecting the power transmission equipments against the damage caused by the over-voltage.

Condition of Use:
1. Ambient air temperature within the range of -40¡æ to +40¡æ;
2. Altitude above sea level not exceeding 2,000m;
3. Frequency of the A.C. power supply being 50Hz or 60Hz;
4. Power frequency voltage applied continuously between the terminals of the arrester not exceeding its continuous operating voltage;
5. Maximum wind speed not exceeding 35m/s;
6.The earthquake intensity not exceeding 7 degrees.
